The condition
The world's most underdiagnosed women's health crisis.
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus — causing debilitating pain, infertility, and a quality of life that millions of women silently endure for years, often decades, before receiving a correct diagnosis.
It is estimated to affect 1 in 10 women globally. In India, awareness is almost non-existent. The average time to diagnosis is 7–10 years. It is the world's most unknown, undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, under-researched, and underfunded medical condition.
Women are the backbone of every family, every community, every society. And millions of them are silently suffering — dismissed, misdiagnosed, told it's "just period pain." The Endometriosis Foundation of India exists to end that silence.
"Millions of women are silently suffering from a condition that most doctors can't name and most patients don't know they have. That is not a medical problem alone — it is a communication failure. And communication is something we can fix."
The client
India's only foundation dedicated entirely to endometriosis.
The Endometriosis Foundation of India (EFI) is a pioneering institution — the only organisation in the country solely focused on endometriosis awareness, research, public policy, and patient advocacy. When ThoughtRadius began working with EFI four years ago, the foundation had a powerful mission and the right leadership. What it needed was the strategy, creative muscle, and fundraising infrastructure to match its ambition.
This was never going to be a social media retainer. This was a movement that needed building from the ground up.
The theme of 2025–26
Every year, EFI adopts a central theme that anchors all its advocacy, events, and communications. For 2025–26, that theme was Invisible No More — a declaration that endometriosis and the women who live with it will no longer be unseen, unheard, or unacknowledged. ThoughtRadius conceptualised this theme and brought it to life across every initiative of the year.
What we built together
Not a campaign. A movement.
Over four years, ThoughtRadius has conceptualised, designed, and executed every dimension of EFI's public presence and fundraising strategy. Here is what that looks like in practice.
The creative highlight
A comic book for the generation that needed it most.
Gen Z doesn't read pamphlets. They don't watch awareness videos made for their parents. They communicate in a visual language — and endometriosis needed to meet them there.
ThoughtRadius conceptualised and produced Invisible No More — a comic book designed specifically for young women, using the language of illustration and storytelling to explain what endometriosis is, what it feels like, and why it is never "just period pain."
Distributed across schools, colleges, and community centres, it is one of the most distinctive pieces of health communication produced for the condition in India.

What four years of showing up looks like.
The outcome
A condition that couldn't be named is now a conversation that can't be stopped.
Four years of sustained effort has transformed EFI from a nascent foundation into a nationally recognised voice on women's health. Over ₹2 crore raised in funding. Three international conferences that drew delegates from across India and abroad. An awareness run that brought 1,500 people onto the streets of Hyderabad for a condition most of them had never heard of four years ago. National media coverage. And a generation of young women who now have a comic book that explains their pain in their own language.
But the number that matters most isn't on this page. It's the woman who finally got a name for what she'd been feeling for ten years. The one who went to her doctor with the comic book. The medical student who attended a conference and decided to specialise in endometriosis. Those are the results that this work was built for.
"This is some of the most meaningful work we have ever done. Because women are the backbone of society — and too many of them are suffering in silence, from a condition the world refuses to see."
